This tale is a sequel to Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" (same cast).

Of course, the Duck, swallowed alive, couldn't stay stuck in the Wolf's belly!
This tale is the sequel to "Peter and the Wolf", and together with Prokofiev's tale forms a 50-minute show.
This tale was written to follow directly on from Peter and the Wolf, proposing the continuation of the story, Prokofiev having left the duck alive in the wolf's belly...
The cast is therefore exactly the same as for Prokofiev, with, of course, the narrator.
The suite lasts 16 minutes, forming a complete 50-minute story with Peter and the Wolf.

The Book-CD, recorded with Jacques Gamblin for Milan Jeunesse (Bayard), has been reissued for the 4th time.
The tale has been performed at the Philharmonie de Paris, and by the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, Opéra de Rouen, Dessau Oper, OPhilharmonique de Strasbourg, Bayerische Rundfunk Munich, who recorded the German version with Stefan Wilkening, ...
